Paper World

Hoedown from Rodeo from Eleanor Stewart on Vimeo.

By the time this posts I will be on a plane, cruising at high altitude to Hong Kong accompanied by Tilly and my Ipod...oh and attempting to read War and Peace because its sort of like one of my many 'summer projects'. So I thought I would do a final post before my 3 week hiatus about books and how some creative geniuses are using them to please my inner ocular fiend. As a future
(September...arrgh!) English student to me books often do seem alive, so much so that I hate putting them down because I fear that the characters and the story will continue without me, so that when I pick it back up their little fictional lives will have developed even more. Yes, I realise I should have taken special note of the word fictional in that sentence... they are not real people, merely fictional characters! but lets face it, there would be no fun in reading if we remembered that the whole way through a book.
These books however, really do come alive, from the stop motion animation of Eleanor Stewart to the fairy-tale sculptures of Su Blackwell... literature has never been abused for such wonderfully artistic purposes!
