S.A.D and The Selby

I think everyone is affected by the weather. It just so happens that today has been gorgeously sunny and I have been swanning ( and by swanning I of course mean skipping but I'm trying to sound a touch more elegant that a 7 year old child)  around in a floaty navy dress with embroidered daisies on the neckline. This, combined with country tunes overflowing in my ears and a healthy dollop or two of frozen yogurt, has made me one heck of a happy girl today. Yes I even said heck because I'm in too much of a good mood to say hell. February has arrived and I am waving adieu to those January blues and impatiently awaiting the arrival of daffodils and cotton dresses with bare legs. Apologies for my lack of blogging over the last month but there is something so grim and uninspiring about the first thirty-ish days of the year. This post is all about the things that stopped me lapsing into full on hibernation mode over the last month, because lets face it,  if I had it my way it would be mandatory for all Januarys to be spent under a duvet eating crumpets smothered in marmalade and watching Breakfast at Tiffany's.

Listening to: Bob Marley         Reading: Just Kids- Patti Smith       Eating: Mushroom and olive pizza
                      Warpaint                            Newspapers                                 Champagne truffles
Dixie Chicks                        Burton on Burton                          LOTS of frozen yogurt

Looking at: Editorials shot in Texas                                         Drinking: too many vanilla mojitos
Hipstamatic exibition at the orange.dot gallery                     chocolate milk
Girls with sexy-dirty ombre hair                                             lemon green tea

This list could go on for a while actually, so I guess as it turns out, my least favourite month wasn't so bad after all providing I was armed with this list of S.A.D fighting essentials... actually non of these things were essential at all except the music and the green tea.
The best part of my blues combating arsenal was 'The Selby is in your place', but now that I have rambled so much I think I'll save my flood of appreciation for slightly voyeuristic coffee table books until later in the week.
