Take Me Somewhere

I forgot that returning home to the lovely north west village of perpetual grey skies and many grassy fields also meant that a snail was in control of my broadband. Waiting for a video to load once you've pressed play is like sitting by your letterbox in anticipation of an amazon order you've only just bought, and I'm not talking next day delivery either. Basically by the time this video had loaded, I had drunk two cups of green tea, churned out 500 words of a medieval essay ( emphasis on the 'eval' part, I'm sure they meant to switch that A for an I) and also caught a snippet of Ugly Betty.
It was worth the wait though, Ian Perlman's Vimeo channel is well worth perusing if your lucky enough to have internet that moves faster than a tortoise, he shot this video for Tennis on a vintage 16mm camera in Chesapeake bay and it is NOT helping me get rid of my USA yearning! If only my bank balance could stretch to those extortionate flight prices...and while it's busy stretching, it might as well work on being flexible enough to buy me a sailboat too so I can prance around on it in the sun sporting a classy breton top like these guys...

aaahh nothing like a retro-sounding tune evoking breezy summer beach parties to get you in the mood to bash away at your keyboard in an attempt to write something coherent about Beowulf. 'Take me somewhere' isn't my favourite song from this husband and wife duo but they are a band I think I will be adding to my lengthy summer playlist.
