I realise that I've been plugging a lot of Vice related stuff lately, part of this is because they ensure my bloodstream is at least 50% alcohol, but to be honest a lot of the content is entertaining minus the mouth-watering mojitos. On Wednesday Rob and I headed to Callooh Callay for the launch of Xperia Unseen, a collaboration between Vice and Sony Ericson featuring the total babe that is Daisy Lowe. Grabbing my third cocktail from the bar in this Shoreditch drinking den I turned round and bumped straight into Daisy herself, she was statuesque in the flesh, and pretty intimidating, but she flashed me a smile with her perfectly pillar-box lips. She was djing that night and mostly played it safe mixing crowd-pleasers...but hey, I was part of the crowd, and I was pleased. I was also drunk, when there's a free bar who isn't? Especially when the drinks are as refreshing as the ones on offer there; Betsy's Orchard is a delicate, floral sort of affair, I'm no cocktail specialist but I do have a penchant for all things that could be termed 'fairytale' and this would definitely be drunk by pretty woodland wastrels whilst they stumbled home through the toadstools. It's Cognac based with fresh lemon and apple juices and a healthy splash of Prosecco, finished with lavender bitters. Tell me Tinkerbell wouldn't drink that? The setting was perfect too, Callooh Callay pays homage to two of England's best children's Authors; The name, instantly recognisible from Lewis Carroll's
Jabberwocky suggests the surreal, friendly and semi-nostalgic atmosphere that awaits inside. A wardrobe functions as a doorway between the front and back rooms so as your straw sinks deeper into your drink you sink deeper into this fantasy-like existence, not quite as cold as Narnia (it seemed apt that we spotted
Anna Popplewell there!) but cool to say the least.
Speaking of cool I should probably show you these stills from the xperia unseen films, watch part one
here. Daisy frolics around in some gym gear and chats about her North-London life.

Also worth mentioning is the HUGE party Vice are throwing on 22nd September to celebrate the fact the magazine now own their very own portion of internet at vice.com (previously a porn site) I think they're pretty pleased because there's a great line up and
free drinks involved.
